Motorhomers Help Support UK Economy
People who holiday in the UK in motorhomes, caravans and tents contribute up to £2bn per year to the economies of the areas they stay in - excluding campsite costs.
These figures, from a new survey by Halfords, show that the average daily expenditure for self-sufficient holidaymakers is £29 - mostly spent on food, drink and tourist attractions.
The survey highlighted just how popular motorhoming, camping and caravanning has become in recent years, with people of all generations choosing to enjoy the low cost and freedom this style of holiday offers.
