Yorkshire Motorhomes With A Japanese Twist - In New Zealand!

Thursday, May 1st, 2008

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire-based motorhome conversion company Wellhouse Leisure has built an impressive reputation for high quality, compact van conversions in recent years. Their campervans are based on imported Japanese base vehicles and are designed to be suitable for everyday use as well as touring. Indeed, the company says that 85% of their customers use their Wellhouse campervans as primary transport.

The company currently sells more than 120 vehicles a year, all of which are sold fully converted to UK spec and with a one year warranty and RAC inspection certificate. Wellhouse will also advise on suitable insurance companies and provides vehicle and habitation servicing for its vehicles.

Wellhouse’s latest venture will see them exporting completed vans to New Zealand. While it might seem inefficient to export vehicles from Japan to the UK and then from the UK to New Zealand, Japansese van-based campers are extremely popular in the New Zealand (and Australian) markets and the quality of Wellhouse’s conversions is likely to win over new customers.

Wellhouse Leisure already has two vehicles on hire in New Zealand and will making more vehicles available later this year following the opening of a sales office in Christchurch.

NEC Hosts Giant Motorhome (& Caravan) Expo

Saturday, October 13th, 2007

If you’re new to motorhoming or if you’re thinking about buying or renting a motorhome but aren’t sure what the choices are, you may want to take yourself along to the Birmingham NEC this week (16th - 21st October).

For the second year running, the NEC is playing host to International Caravan & Motorhome, one of the UK’s largest exhibitions of new motorhomes, caravans and every imaginable accessory (plus a few you won’t have thought of…).

Last year’s exhibition attracted more than 72,400 visitors and the organisers expect attendance this year to be even better. If you’d like to make a proper trip of it, the Caravan Club are providing full onsite camping facilities including electric hookup and water. The campsite will be open from Tuesday - Sunday inclusive.

All the major UK motorhome manufacturers will be present, as will some of the most popular providers of base vehicles - including Fiat. Fiat’s Ducato van chassis is the most popular base vehicle for motorhome conversions in the UK and Fiat have promised to have a selection of new model Ducato and Scudo vans on display, including a top-spec, 3 litre/160bhp model.

If you’ve got any questions or would like to book tickets in advance, you can contact the International Caravan & Motorhome 2007 booking office on 08701 288 288 or visit their website at http://www.caravanshows.com/page.cfm/Link=1/

If this week is too short notice for you or Birmingham isn’t convenient, why not put the Manchester Central Caravan & Motorhome Show 2008 in your diary instead? It offers a similar wide choice of vehicles and accessories and will be on in Manchester Central (formerly the G-Mex) from 17th - 20th January, 2008.
